Invoice for NOISE

Postby Glen G » Sat Sep 28, 2013 9:00 pm

They were shooting a TV trailer in the bathroom (don't ask) adjacent to my studio last Saturday. I told them a "catered lunch" didn't quite make up for my lost worktime. I think this invoice is worth more than the check

Hope they pay up. Seems like film makers think the world revolves around them.

They kept asking if I could "hammer more quietly" :hehe:. Actually I was trying to complete a project using my chasing tools which is about as little noise as I can muster in my shop. And yes Larry, a check was attached to this invoice (copy) which BTW a production assistant had written and submitted for me. I just thought the tag line on the invoice was hysterical. A lot of movies shoot in Pittsburgh. By and large the production crews are great folks and VERY accomodating. I certainly could have raised more of a stink and gotten more $$. The standard scale would be a months rent per day. But he bldg landlord had neglected to inform us tenants of the shoot. The crew expected an empty building. So none of us knew anything until the day of the shoot. I've got friends in the industry, I've done some prop work, and I'm generally a pretty nice guy so I chose not to turn aholian on them. Go's around, comes around eh :)
