I thought the concept-to-prototype timescale was not bad though :)

It could probably be retrofitted to your older frames, but I've got concerns about non-eye-safe lasers & reflective metals...

I'm slowly reading and carefully analyzing the pictures, fully engrossed in the Ford's tutelage. Just in the moment studying, absorbing, seeing all, and then...

the walker...

I saw some very similar to the lion on japanese videos, maybe a video about silversmith, when a guy is drilling and cutting in a sliver and shibuichi buckle, also interesting is a onehand man powered drill.
What I like on the knew concept is the lever on top, maybe it's a walking stick with four feet, but I like it, aha.

This is an interesting thread. I had to go and look at my old saw. An 'Eclipse' . Yes, the bargain basement, 'Honda civic' of saw frames ;-)
Oh, the wife has a plethora of new and antique frames but I get the Eclipse. And to be honest, it does exactly what I want it to do. When I was a apprentice I used to pinch my Boss's frame when he was out because it had an over-sized , door knob shaped handle. Looked like a big burin handle. It was very comfortable to use. Much more so that the standard shape and I was always going to make myself one. ( But never have).

If you want an extreme quality saw that will probably still be allowed though the door at Ford's class:

Quality ? Or, just insanely expensive ? That is truely eye-watering but it does spike my curiosity as to who would be gullible enough to pay that sort of money ?

For that price they could at least put a rosewood handle on it.

Hey fellows,
I've followed the custom tool scene for about ten years now, especially on the woodworking side where most of the action is.
It's mostly driven by collectors and the occasional user who suddenly finds him/herself flush with cash.

Actually, the collector angle makes sense.
It looks nicely made.
All the more reason for the rosewood handle. :sneaky2:
